Welcome to our DHS Class of 1975 - 50 Year High School Reunion

 
We are looking forward to seeing and visiting with you at the Reunion.  We have a great Reunion planned.  Thank you for registering and attending. It will be fun to reconnect with old friends and make new friends.   We have a lot of great fun events planned!  Here are all the details you need to know about attending the Reunion.

Reunion Schedule
 
Friday --  September 5, 2025 - Welcome back to Durango !
  5:00 pm - 12:00 am (or as long as you wish to stay) - Meet & Greet your fellow classmates

       Location: Durango Holiday Inn 
       Address:  21636 Hwy 160 W, Durango, CO
     Enjoy visiting with all our classmates, catching up on 50 years of life and great memories of DHS.  hors d'oeuvres will be served!

     Around 8:00 pm we will have a Family Feud Challenge Game with a group of classmates challenging our Reunion Committee.   
     Bragging rights and some prizes are on the line!  It will be great way to bond with your fellow classmates.  I have to warn you, the Reunion Committee is a tough team to beat! 
     
     We will be in a conference room just off the lobby. 
      A check-in Table will be setup.  Please stop by the table, check in to get your name tag to be used for the Reunion. 
      Next to registration table, we will have a camera set up to take a picture of you and your guest.  Please stop by and have your picture taken.  
      We will have a Cash Bar available until 10:00 pm.   
Saturday  --  September 6, 2025 - Morning Brunch 

    10:30 am -  1:00 pm  -  Brunch   -- Fantastic brunch just North of Durango

       1:00 pm - 2:30 pm - (Optional)- Drive up LaPlata Canyon, visit Falls and enjoy LaPlata Mountain Scenery  (4-Wheel Drive vehicle required) (Weather Permitting)

     Location:    Ridgewood Event Center, Hesperus

   Address:   16000 CO-140 Hesperus, CO, 81326.   

 

     Come visit with your classmates while enjoying a catered brunch at a gorgeous It will be a buffet with breakfast and lunch items.

     Event Center just North of Durango in Hesperus. Enjoy the Colorado Scenery we all grew up with.  We will have one of our very own, Sean English, on the piano to provide us with dinner music. Details on the event center are at the attached link.    

    NOTE:  We do not have a hard stop for the brunch at 1:00 pm.  We have the facility longer if you want to stay awhile 
      The drive up LaPlata Canyon after the brunch is optional and requires a 4-wheel drive vehicle.   Bring your own vehicle.   Charlie Isgar will lead a group of folks who want to drive up to the waterfall and other scenic spots.   We will have a signup sheet for those that wish to go, but do not have a 4-wheel drive.   There will be folks who have extra seats that you can ride with.  It should take about 1.5 hours to go up there and return.   It will be a great scenic trip.  If it raining, of course, we will not make the trip. 
  Saturday  --  September 6, 2025 - Main Event  Dinner/Entertainment/Dancing/Karaoke Contest

       5:00 pm - 6:00 pm  - Cocktails (cash bar)

     6:00 pm - 6:30 pm  -  Class Photo & Memorial Service​

     6:30 pm - 7:30 pm  -  Catered Dinner is Served

     7:30 pm - 11:00 pm  - DHS 50 Year Reunion Program Entertainment/Dancing

      Enjoy a catered dinner, an evening of memories of DHS in 1975, great stories of life for past 50 Years and entertainment/dancing!
      Check in between 5:00 & 6:00 PM.   We need to have you here for the CLASS photo.    We will also be taking a "formal" photo of you after you and your guest check in.  
      We are having a Karaoke Contest after Dinner!   Come prepared to sing your best song.   We will have the Karaoke version available and give you a chance to sing it to our group.  Everyone (classmates & guests) is invited to give it their best shot.   The audience will vote on their best singer by applause.  We have a great prize and bragging rights for the winner.
       We also going to play a Jeopardy Trivia game to refresh your memories of DHS, Durango, the World, Movies & TV of the 1970's.  Everyone can play.  We will divide you up into teams of 4.  You and a guest can pair up with another classmate and their guest or just other classmates.    Every team will take their best shot at answering the questions.  We will score the sheets and have prizes for the winning team.  It will be a lot of fun.  Everyone will relive memories of the 1970's and DHS.    
       Sunday  --  September 7, 2025 -  Fare Well Picnic at the Elks Lodge Picnic Recreation Area

        11:00 am - 4:00 pm  - Family/Friends Picnic - (Invite your family, friends and classmates from other years)


 

      Location:  Elks Lodge Recreation Picnic Area
      Address:   379 Co Rd 240A, Durango, CO 81301
   
      We were not able to use Electra Lake due to a concern of introducing Mussels into the lake.   The folks in charge of the lake did not want the many people at one time. 
       So, we moved Sunday's event to the Durango Elks Lodge Recreation Picnic Area. This is out on Florida Road going to Vallecito Lake. It is about 10 Miles out of Durango.
     We will have the facility to ourselves the entire day.  There is plenty of parking. 
        We were so excited to use this that we decided to make it a Family & Friends Event.   This is a chance to bring classmates from other classes, your family members or other guests you would like to invite.  There is no additional charge for bring those who have not registered. 
    We will open the gates at 11:00 am and keep them open until 4:00 pm or later if the party is still going.    Feel free to drop by anytime during these hours to visit.  
    Bring your own Food & drink for the picnic.   There are several picnic tables and a covered pavilion with Picnic Tables, along with Restaurant facilities on the site.    Bring your own Camp Chairs or any other picnic gear to the event.   If you have a Colorado Fishing license, you can do some fishing in the stream running alongside.  
Here are a few places in Durango, you can pick up a sandwich:  
  Tom's Deli, Natures Oasis, City Market, Subway, Jimmy Johns  

Grab a sandwich and drink on the way out.  
This will be great way to say fare well to our classmates if you have time to stay on Sunday. It is also away to get some other friends to visit and see what a great class we have.  

 
We would love it if you could bring some memorabilia from DHS years with you, Letter Jackets, pictures you have from those years.   We would use them to decorate the events.  Of course, you can take them home with you.   

We also had such a great response to attending this reunion.  If you have your badge holder with red lanyard  from the 40 Year Reunion please bring it.  We could use a few extras because of the great turnout. 
Finally, I have attached the latest updates to the then & now Project. Thank you all who sent now pictures. We will know what we look like when you arrive and meet people.  
Most importantly, we are glad to have you with us.  We look forward to seeing you this weekend.
